CRISTINA GALIETTO
AVANT L'AUBE - NOW AVAILABLE
The brilliant playing of Cristina Galietto is represented here in a wide variety of repertoire extending from the 18th century to the present day. The versatility of the classical guitar as a concert instrument ensures that in the hands of a virtuosic performer the six plucked strings encompass many musical styles and composers of different nationalities and eras. Thus the guitar can resonate with Spanish passion (as in the music of Joaquín Rodrigo) or demonstrate the subtle intricacies of Domenico Scarlatti’s harpsichord sonatas as well as accommodating the moods and progressive musical vocabulary of the 21st century.
